Activity:
- Attended the playtesting session [1.5h]
- Fixed bugs and issues found in the playtesting session, added more polish [3h]
- Added damage sound effects when the player takes damage.
- Player now also has damage particle effects.
- Replaced default mouse cursor with a custom crosshair.
- Improved foreground-background contrast.
- Locked door now keep their color after being unlocked.
- Added key inventory to the UI (player can see which keys they picked up).
- Bugs now spawn at a randomized direction.
- Fixed various issues with the AI.
- The shooting enemy was too conservative when taking aim.
- Bugs could not damage the player if the player was adjacent to a wall.
- A bug could get stuck if it got too close to the wall.
- The shooting bug could take one last shot after dying.
- The shooting bug has a different sprite with a distinct color to make easier to differentiate them.
- Updated game page to display controls and credits.
Total: 4.5h
I fixed all remaining issues which were found in my game and added some more polish. I think I have succeeded in creating what I wanted to. I am planning to keep the game as is, unless I find some other issue while recording for the trailer.
Outcome: attached a build of the possibly final version of the game.
